How It Works

Profits and donations from this campaign will be given to the North Georgia Community Foundation (NGCF) and distributed to Gainesville based non-profits that are addressing local emergency needs based on food, shelter, clothing, and medical care. Beneficiaries of your donation will be determined by the NGCF grants committee that is focused specifically on addressing emergency needs caused by COVID-19. The North Georgia Community foundation is a trusted group that has already directed $135,000 towards Covid Relief initiatives in North Georgia.

This campaign will direct funding specifically to needs in Gainesville. Please click here to see the types of relief efforts the NGCF COVID-19 Relief fund is distributing grants to. For questions regarding a direct donation, contact the foundation at 770-535-7880 or visit www.ngcf.org/covid19relief

How It Started

It all started with a mural that was inspired by conversations that I had with my grandmother (Beatrice Hokayem) about her experience as a survivor of one of the deadliest tornados in US history. The purpose of Good People of Gainesville is to launch collaborative projects that help the community and shine light on the amazing individuals and families that developed my hometown.
